Thanks guys. I've been back on the coontail carousel this morning. Just me and the chickens and cows here today, so it's nice and quiet.
Eric, I forgot about those pics Richmond Mill's. That was a fun trip. I've officially lost 54 pounds since moving full time to the farm, so hopefully the pics would look different now.

Hey, what kind of cows did you decide on? Yolk, they're the hay guy's heifers and they decided they liked our chickens. So, they stay right by the house. I think we're pretty locked in on mini's, and the Red Polls did look outstanding. But I've finally figured out that we'd never ever eat, sell, smoke, grill, or in other way harm any cow that is 40" tall or less. So, we decided to wait, and make sure we get the right breed. The lady up the road has over 200 mini longhorns, and I won't even drive by her house. She told us she started with 20, and kept them all. My lovely wife would do the same.

I lost about 30 after retiring -- but my beard is still about the same as it was in 1969. A couple of years ago I wore a pedometer for a week. I walked between 7 and 11 miles everyday! (I did buy a UTV since then, but I still walk a lot every day.) Every project requires multiple trips to the barn, the garage, the shed, the basement, etc. Mostly it is looking for a tool that I'd just been using. Retirement with lots of birthdays is good. Enjoy!
