Can you put anything in a pond that will absorb pond nutrients?

FWIW I recently planted several species of marginal plants in an effort to remove nutirents and, ultimately I hope, help reduce FA and improve visiblity.

Lots of plants will absorb nutrients and clarify the water and control FA. The question is how many plants will you tolerate in your pond and what kind of pond do you want. Mine is great for bringing in wildlife but not so good for fishing. The water is very clear and virtually no FA.
