Does anyone have a recommendation for a contractor to dig a pond in southeastern Michigan. Does anyone have any experience with Spring Creek Aquatic Concepts would i be wise to use a professional firm to make sure its done right the first time?
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

I have no idea. I would contact your counties NRCS office and get a list of pond contractors. They won't recommend one, but I'll bet if you ask them "If you were to have a pond dug on your property, who are the 5 contractors that you would call on this list?" they would narrow down the list for you.

Hi TC, I'm from west michigan and I'm sorry I don't know who to use in your area. I know of at least 4 PB members in the SE MI area who had ponds dug and they do check in the forum from time to time but not every day. There has been recent posts from a member who is building a pond in SE MI and is having issues with it not turning out as he had hoped so probably he could tell you who not to use.
You could use google to search for Michigan pond and pondboss forum and probably find those threads rapidly. You could try private message to the SE michigan folks and they may see that in their email and respond that way.
Hopefully one of them will chime in.

TC, one thing to remember about the NRCS list. There are no qualifications re getting your name on the list. A guy with a dozer but never done a pond can get added to the list. Check a LOT of references.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
