Hello everyone! I built a pond some 25 years ago and it does fine except in extended periods of dry weather. The water level drops some 2 feet during extremely dry conditions. Pond is appx an acre and 10' deep and it gets a lot of use with a wood fired sauna on the edge and a sandy beach we built. It is fed mostly by the water table from water moving through from the hills behind.

Just wondering, are there ways to capture, store and/or pump water from a water table? I know I could build another pond and might, but wonder if there are other ways to tap this underground water. Are there ways to capture it, store it and pump it when needed or feed it into to the pond? maybe using a solar pump, windmill, if necessary.

We have lived away from our pond except for summers due to being employed very far away, so haven't been able to do many improvements. Hope to retire this year and will be around more. Will post some photos to show details. The aerial photo shows the direction of ground table water entering the pond.

Thanks for any ideas and a great forum!
