City guy here with mountain getaway. 20 year old 1/4 acre pond with active fish but does get a little murky in the summer. Looking for a lighted fountain that will help with aeration. Found the air-max. Anyone know about this system? Another dual purpose product? I am concerned about getting a on shore aerator because of the noise.

thanks - warren

Welcome Warren,

The noise level of a bottom system will be quieter than the water hitting the float of a fountian system.

Of course noise is relevent to who is listening, right? If surface aeration, decorative display and night lights is your goal, then a surface unit like the Kasco or Aquamaster is a good choice. Both have a large number of sizes and displays to fit your pond.

If you have any questions about sizing a system for your pond, please do not hesitate to ask. I'm sure any of us manufacturers will be more than happy to help.

Cary - thanks for your comments. Have you had any experience with the air-max system. They claim that pulling the water from a lower point is best for aeration if you are going with a fountain. This is a web site - http://www.apondaerator.com/

Thanks- Warren
