Hey everyone, I need help. My pond level is extremely low and my well pump went out. Please help me troubleshoot. When I turn it on, it hums for a few then trips the breaker. For the few seconds it runs, it does not pump water. What should I look for?

cardell, there could be a whole lot of things causing what you describe. The pump motor could be locked up, a pump winding burned out, insulation worn and grounding out, a failed start capacitor, faulty pressure switch, bad controller, broken drop piping...
Easiest and least expensive option may be to call a well driller to come trouble shoot it for you.
