While using IE 11, I can not change a page without being logged out on the site. I had to do a system restore after a recent windows 7 update to be able to post again.

Has anyone found the cause or resolution for this yet? I really don't want to use multiple browsers.

A web search for a resolution only hit on 100's of other UBB forum users having the same problem...didn't find a single resolution or fix.

There has to be a reasonable fix out there for this issue. I hate the thought of whatever this recent auto update was will have me doing a system restore every time it updates now...

Try Google Chrome just to see if it works as a solution to this problem.

It totally solved that exact same problem for me,
but others say it didn't work for them.

I'm just glad it put that exact problem to rest for me.

Thanks, Mark, but chrome is just a keyloggerd for google and I get enough targeted ad's as it is.

I know that the issue isn't there for Chrome and Firefox users....

Chrome with ad block plus equals no ads at all.

Ads aren't really the biggest problems to me, 3rd party cookies are. But try blocking all 3rd party cookies, and watch the problems that can pop up. Banking, shopping carts, etc. all use them, and they do track your clicks.

Google api's are the worst. If you use Firefox or Chrome, install Lightbeam/Collusion and check out who's tracking you. In 2 days, I've been tracked by some Google 3rd party cookie 32 times. They know what IP you log in from, what time you view sites, and where you go in those sights. Not tinfoil hat stuff, but there is a reason Google's makes billions from selling user data.

Shorty I love my Ad-Block-Plus and I found out about it on PondBoss.

I watch a lot of YouTube videos and Ad-Block-Plus
put a stop to the annoying ads on YouTube that say
"You can start this video in 8 seconds"...blah blah

Rex, I have that problem from time to time. I clear my internet history and cookies and the problem goes away.

I only do windows 7 updates when I have the time to fix stuff. Right now downloading 42 updates, and can guarantee you that something is going to break!!!

I ended up copying all of my software to my hard drive and re-installing it from there. Then, all I have to do is run a quick repair if something breaks. Reason for copying to my HD is so I don't have to carry a box of discs with me.

RSLogix 5000 get's hit quite a bit, and now am having trouble with Autocad.

Next after this, I'll uninstall Proficy 7.0 (GE PLC programming software), which takes a while because you have to remove 7 programs in proper order, then remove folders and such, then run CCleaner several times to clean out the registry, and that always breaks RSLogix 5000 V20.01, which, I'll have to do a repair on that!!!

Seeing as I'll be spending several hours on this, I may as well run a boot scan to top the night off.

Another reason for doing manual updates with windows 7, is if I am flashing firmware on an expensive piece of hardware, and windows 7 rears it's ugly head during that process, the hardware could become toast. Hasn't happened to me, but it has happened to others.

Yep, windows 7 is the best! wink

Gotta re-boot now. Let's see what happened this time.
