OP Cecil Baird1 Hall of Fame Lunker Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 20,043 Likes: 1 Northeastern Indiana	A rare "blue" variation of a yellow perch I mounted for a client a couple of months ago. It was caught in Maxinkuckee Lake in Marshall county Indiana. Note it does have some normal pigmentation on the lower flanks. Here is it next to a normal colored yellow perch not long after it was caught. Last edited by Cecil Baird1; 09/04/14 08:59 PM. fishm_n F Joined: May 2011 Posts: 733 Sturgis, SD	Hello, I have caught some color phased yellow perch also, but nothing in that size. is it only some thing that individual fish have or could you breed stock with it if you had both sexs with it? Water is the basis of all life, by design!

EDIT: any chance that the lower fins were more red than Yellow? In Lake Onaping in Ontario we have caught some perch with red fins and blue like tops but never really gave it much thought till now.
