I feel amazingly good right now. However I feel just a little groggy and silly from the medication. I thought about driving somewhere but my wife had wisely taken my keys away.

Thanks, Bob-O! Surely I will feel well enough to start plagiarizing stuff in just a few hours.

I don't know if this is unusual or not but the procedure was over around 10 o'clock but I really don't have any recollection of anything that occurred between 10 and 1 PM.

..A man and his wife are having coffee one morning on the husbands birthday :

Wife:
"Honey you know, now that you turned 50, you should really go see a proctologist. A yearly check up and schedule a colonoscopy. I love you very much and would hate for something to happen that could have been prevented."

Husband:
"No way. Are you kidding me? I feel fine."

Wife:
"No matter what happens or what he tells you that has to be done, I will be there for you. Please go....for me!"

Husband:
"Alright...for you"

Off to the doctor the husband goes. He returns hours later with a bottle of pills and a very goofy look on his face.

Husband:
"Ok honey. You said you would help. The Dr. has scheduled my colposcopy and gave me a routine exam. He said he found that I had a small hemorrhoid and that I should use these suppositories. So I need to have you place these for me once a day.

Wife:
"OK. Did the Dr. show you how to place the pills? How do I do it?

Husband:
"Here's what you do. The Dr. put his left hand on my shoulder and then...wait no. He first put his right hand and my shoulder and then inserted...no wait!!! Come to think about it he had both hands on my shoulders!!!!

Hopefully the topic of Korean dental assistants didn't come up while you were in the recovery room.

OMG. If it did I'll bet I used plenty of colorful metaphors.

I'd say you have nothing to worry about if your wife is still speaking to you.

No, it wasn't. You just don't remember it...........thankfully.

Nurse friend started describing the procedure before I had mine. When she got to the part about there being a lot of pain but I would not remember any of it, held my hand up to shush her, and "no - I don't want to hear it. Just do what you gotta do."

Glad it went well for you.

I still remember the terrible gas pains from mine. It takes quite a, lot to knock me out. I need max gas at the dentists office too, but then I get telling some inappropriate jokes.

Been there done that twice and going to do it a third time. My grandfather died of colon cancer.

The doc told my dad my dad thought he was back in Vietnam the last time they put him under. Apparently my dad thought the doc was the enemy and he threatened to kill the doc!

I'll bet the docs and attendents hear a lot of confidential stuff!

I had mine done last year and I can only imagine the words I may have shared while having a long probe stuck up my butt!

I'm pretty sure I know what I'd say if I were awake shocked

I've had a lot of these over the years and my memory isn't so good anymore. The doc was on the computer and said when was the last time you had a colonoscopy. I said maybe 4 years. He said it's been 10 years so I will set you up for one. I got home with the infor for the perp and time to be at the hospital, and my wife who keeps good records threw a fit and said you just had one last year. As bad as you hate to get a colonoscopy I couldn't believe I forgot I had one a year ago.

A computer is only as good as the info put into it and I kinda wonder about doc.

Still waiting. They said it might be a week. I'm actually a little anxious about it.

Pretty simple, had 3 small polyps they removed. Dr. says non cancerous, but sending them off. Back in the saddle, but still taking it easy.

I did learn you don't cough or sneeze with you are doing your prep wink

There's no excuse not to get this procedure since most everyone now has insurance. My wife's grandfather who raised her, had no insurance back in the 50's, had cancer of the intestines resulting in a bag attached to his side for waist removal. Had to sell his house and everything he owned to help pay for the medical bills. I watched him cry as they auctioned off his house and everything in it. I was just out of the army and young but we helped keep him at our place. Health care is god sent for anyone who has seen this sort of thing personally.
