Hello, I have started rehabbing an old 1 acre gravel pit that had badly silted in. Excited to get some information to start building a quality fishing/swimming hole. Looked over the forum before registering and this is just the place I am looking for!!!

Welcome to the best info source about aquatics on the net. Unfortunately none from me. Just wanted ta welcome ya and tell you to be patient, busy time starting right now. How much research have ya done about sludge removal? There are gonna be lots of ?s for ya so get in your mind some plan of action and realistic goals. Best of luck, Bob-O

have dug the pond out to about 8.5ft, but was done blind... got to the sand/gravel in a several spots but very uneven bottom. I am guessing it will raise another 3 to 4 feet till it gets to the overflow. There have been a few adult fish stocked (20 crappie, 70bg, 5 lmb and couple dozen fhm.)
