It's gotta be the stored sessions or cookies. TFF is doing the same thing, but the login's stay active for several days instead of almost immediately like here.

I have never had problems with this. Lots of discussion about this at times, but always been ok for me. Now if I unhook from the internet, then I have to re-log. Does this happen while you are actually visiting the site?

The issue seems to be exclusive, or at least most common using the Internet Explorer Browser. I use IE 11 and every time there is an update, I have to re-add ponboss.com to my "Trusted sites" list...heck, PB IS the list...lol

I use only IE, and it automatically updates to new versions with no glitches. There must more idiosyncrasies than that.

Just had to re-log in again.... I'm scratching bald spots (grin) on my head trying to figure out why I can't stay logged in.

Thanks for your patience guys.

I'm going to blame it on my wife laugh laugh laugh. That won't go very far though, she rarely gets on PB wink grin.

fish n chips, I used to be able to click back in almost forever. Just a little frustrating wink. Sometimes I will go to another site and when I come back here, I have to re-log in again confused..

I don't know what the problem is here as I have never experienced it.

On a controls forum I swing by pretty much every day, if you are inactive for about 5 minutes or so, it logs you out. Never timed it yet, but it appears to be about that.

Almost every time I post something I have to log in again, unless it's really quick. The timing considers typing a post or reply as being inactive. They don't get any spam either.

Only way to avoid the timer here is to become a lifetime supporting member, which isn't that much.

You can pretty much post any type of file on this forum directly from your computer or cell. You need to be logged in to view/download anything that is on their system. If a post has a general public item like a pic from photobucket or link to a web site, if the poster properly did this, then you do not need to be logged in to view/download.

It's just way too easy to directly pop in a file from your puter, rather than going the 3rd party rout.

Using Google Chrome browser solved the problem for me, but others have said it didn't help them. Who knows? All I know is EVERY-TIME I use Internet Explorer on Pond Boss I get logged out and using Chrome browser I never get logged out. So you may experiment and see what works for you.

Using Chrome I get logged out once every couple of weeks, I think it has to do with being logged in with different computers.

Could also be puter settings and such. Don't know, but you are more than welcome to come up here and fix broken RA installs on a regular basis.

Had to go to W7-Pro for obvious reasons, and if you look at that funny, it will crash RS5K V20 on a regular basis, then ya have to do a repair. I'm getting rather tired of doing this!

XP Pro was one of the most stable platforms of the past and everything always worked well, even with some outdated drivers where you could swap a file between SP2 to SP3, and life worked well! Not anymore!

My biggest problem with the internet is having to re-boot my cell phone while on hot spot. It could go for days with no issues, then may have to do it 4-5 times on any particular day just because people on the other end are messing with it.

The flux capacitor on my T- 12-1 67 smoked the overflow regeneration module on my P49 did 2 updates and a overload rewrite to the father board which in turn melted the mother board so I mated them together and built a family board it's kicking out like 5k MB uploads and 1000k downs. Now my refrigerator makes perfect ice cubes and the dishwasher has a garbage disposal that grew outta trap and overflow of the kitchen sink..

I switched over to Firefox and the problem is now rare.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Let me know your approximate requirements in picoFarads, microFarads, or Farads. I'll also need to know whether AC or DC. If AC, please use 2x peak-to-peak. If DC, please use 2x Pi x Max DC Voltage.

All terms include prepayment. Delivery is nonspecific.

I'll need a universal AC/DC rig that auto-tunes to the requirements, Please!

Had an issue with PB locking up in Firefox.

First time I thought it was my hot spot, so I rebooted and the world was round again.

Second time, I minimized the browser and opened a new one. Clicked the PB bookmark and the world was spinning in the right direction. The minimized session was still lost in space.

Didn't want to say anything, but it just happened again. Open a new one, then drop the old one. Works here.

We are not the only forum experiencing this. Maybe somebody else can better explain what is happening.

Hacking has become such a problem that many sites have instituted a lot of safety features.

I'm seeing the same thing on multiple other sites where I regularly participate.

At this point, I figure it is like going into the local bank, where everybody knows me quite well. They need to scan my driver's license before they can give me any money from my account. Same thing with my driver's license. They now have my eyeballs scanned and my finger prints so that I can board an airplane without extra screening.

Sheesh. I'm glad I'm getting old, and will only have to put up with this crap till my friends sprinkle my remains on the ground.
