I was cleaning up the shore line the other day on the pond (last years weed growth) and I netted up a bunch of these little guys! I am up in Southern Ontario and the first signs on my BG and Sunfish spawning hasn't even started. Just wondering if these little guys would have been from a real late spawn last year? In late fall I had netted up BG from that years spawn that were much larger than either of these two little ones I took pictures off. On a side note there was hundreds of them sticking in close to the old weeds. Any ideas???? PS...I really should use gloves when using the pond rake as it stains my hands blue every time I use it!!!

Last year's hatch. BG spawns will occur at different time during the summer depending on when the become mature in northern areas.

I've had bluegills hatch in late August.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
