My condolences.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

My sincere condolences too. But I'm not so sure it's slowly. I think it's more like rapidly. I'm even seeing Vietnam vets pass away at a rapid rate.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

It is good that you have many very good memories of and good times spent together with your grandfather. Your passion for fish was no doubt influenced by him.

I've been busy as of late, and I apologize for not responding sooner. Travis, very sorry for your loss. Grandfathers can occupy a pretty special place in a young person's life. I know mine did.

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?

Tough losing a patriarch. Lost mine, seems like not long ago, but I guess it's been about five years now. Sorry for the loss Travis, but grateful you had such a fine man to look up to.

I am sorry CJ my GF was 92 and you are right I am always reminded of my GF when I hear that song Last of a dying Breed! That's what they are for sure!! I too grew up with my GF on the farm and his pond and his cabin on the lake!! He and Grandma molded me in ways I can only hope I can with my grand kids one day!! I am sorry my friend!

Cj i too am so sorry to hear of your lost. I can relate as I lost my 95 year old grandfather this year back in April one day short of his wife's date of death 18 yrs before. I can take solace in the fact they are together once again and that my almost 2 yr old daughter had a chance to know him. Some of my best memories are fishing his stock tank in the hill country as a young man. He was a WWII vet as well serving in Germany and ill never forget the day he told me when I was @ 18 and graduating high school trying to decide on military that if I didnt join the service I'd never amount to any type of man. He was pretty spot on most of the time.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Just seeing this now. My sincere condolences. I recently lost my 84 year old father. He just missed WWII but stuck around for Korea and Vietnam. We are blessed to have men from this era instilling virtues in our lives. I'm sure your father and you were molded from this great man. Carry on and hand down what he has left with you.

A bit delayed for the cremation and transfer of the ashes, but the viewing is this Saturday. It will be nice to see all my family. One good thing about funerals, and weddings... HAHA

Thank you to all of you for your kind words.
