Hello all - I've read the posts and gone to the websites recommended, but can't find anyone that lists the "price" for sodium bentonite. Can someone tell me what I should expect to pay for this product? Thanks much -- Scott

It should be much cheaper by the bulk but have bought it in GA in 50 lb bags for $7.

Check with some of the oil field people around Canton. I paid $8 for some 100 lb. bags but I knew the truck driver and he got me a deal(I guess). I also talked to a guy who bought it in bulk but don't know the price.
Texas Sodium Bentonite Company in Comanche has distributors statewide. You can call them at (915) 885-2339 for a dealer near you.
You might also ask for specific instructions on how to use it. I've tried it several times on small silted in stock watering tanks that we cleaned out and hit sand. There must be a way to do it right but I've never been successful.

Up here in Indiana I just ordered 50 lb. bags for $5.68 from a farm supply store. I guess it is used to bulk up feed for hogs or something.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Yep, they use Sodium Bentonite as a binding agent in a lot of animal feed. I wish I could find it here for $5.68, they are asking more along the lines of $20-30 USD per bag. Crazy.
