Pond Boss Forums AQUATIC VEGETATION Identifying plants What is it?

We have this growing on the pond bottom in 16' of water. I have no idea what it is. Maybe algae of some sort? Thanks for the help (again!).

Closer photos of the weed and leaf would help us out.

I'll try and pull a pile out next time I'm at the pond. If I can remember I'll take something with big treble hooks and rake the bottom a bit. There doesn't seem to be anything to it other than stringy stems with fine "hairs" all along it, but maybe I'm only getting part of it. Thanks
