I was wondering if any one had any reviews of the Moultrie fish feeder (~$80 at Bass Pro)? It is the 6.5 gallon model how long would that last? Has any one ever rigged up a deer feeder for feeding fish? I don't have a dock in the pond I am wanting to feed, so it would have to a bank mounted.

Missouri308,

If you are referring to the new directional feeder from Moultrie, I have several of them and highly recommend them for their functionality. They are by far the best small feeder I've come across. I can't comment on how long they will last because it is a recently released product, but every other aspect is positive. The solar attachment is well worth it (about $25 or $30). I've had them deployed all spring and summer and no recharging necessary.

I build a hanging "gate" and mount the feeder on the gate on a 4x4 post and swing the feeder out over the water. Works really well and can send pictures if you wish.

What part of the "Show Me State" are you located?I grew up in Springfield, but spent much of my free time down in the hills around Branson and Ava fishing and hunting at my Grandfathers places.

I have rigged a deer feeder to feed fish. It works great except I don't like how it spreads pellets all over the place since I would prefer it to spread over a particular area.

I would like to see pictures of the set up Meadowlark. I am orginally from NE Missouri where all the ponds I play with are. I currently live around the KC area.
