I have been given access to a patch of bamboo, but all the stalks are about 16-24 feet in height and have very few leaves. They are not really green in color but more of a light brown color and I was wondering if they are dead.

This patch has not been touched for over 5 years but there are a few stalks that are 5-8 feet and have many leaves. These 5-8 feet stalks are perfect for what I have seen on this forum for bamboo condos.

- If I was to cut these tall stalks down to 4-6 feet high, would the remaining stalk grow leaves and get bushy?

- If I cut the 16-22 feet stalks, what can I do with them ?

Thank You

Bamboo condos? Sure you're not posting from China?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Oh, are the bamboo condos fish structure?

No meds here Phil. This is normal for me. Just ask Bill Cody and Esshup. smirk

Find out what variety of bamboo it is. Some are quite invasive.
