A few observations related to this thread:

First off I was dismayed and yes dare I say disgusted to find out that http://www.parachutejumpingfromthebottomofawell.org was a hoax. I am always looking for new hobbies, one's that I feel that I may be qualified to participate in and low and behold this site is a mere hoax. A trap to draw in unsuspecting apprentices and crush their hopes and dreams.

Then I discover that Rockytopper has been maligned by the Pond Boss moderators. Fortunately the evidence of the transgression has been preserved on the "automatic captioning" film that I am so fond of using.

Then a link is posted to another abusive tirade in which a kind and gentle soul is merely requesting information about alternative living conditions for bass and what happens??? This poor unsuspecting seeker of knowledge is abused beyond belief. Shame on all those that participated in this horrendous affair, shame, shame. The only beam of light in this thread was George, thankfully he at least tried to restore a sense of decorum.

Finally, an attempt is made to implicate me in this thread by posting a master piece of art work that took me hours to craft. A sketch that has, in a previous thread, in compared to the likes of Da Vinci and Picasso. Look at the subtle lines, the happy expression on the face, the eyes that seem to follow you no matter where you are in the room. The "come hither" smile on the face. One of my proudest moments reduced to fodder for your humor mongering ways.

I've been spelunking since I was a child. Unfortunately this landed me in intensive counseling.

I was always told if you do too much spelunking you'll go blind. Guess that's just another made up story to scare children, you know like Vampire Badgers and packs of Onery Grey Squirrels hunting children that don't come home when they're called for dinner.

You don't even own a pond. All you do is jump down old abandoned wells with a parachute as your only protection....

Hmmm. Now that I think of it, I guess Barnes is much cooler than the rest of us.

That JHAP has surprisingly slender ankles.

Notice how calm, cool and collected I am in the face of danger. Nothing rattles me. I laugh in the face of danger. In fact danger is my middle name.... Jeffdangerhasapond.


A bit of JHAP trivia: I've actually been bungee jumping twice, that was back in my slimmer days. I don't think they make a bungee cord thick enough to hold me now and I don't want to be planted in the ground before my time.

Oh and my slim ankles were attracting a lot of attention at the Pond Boss conference. I had to start wearing long pants in Texas because Fatty McButterpants got jealous of all the attention the waitresses were paying to my ankles. My ankles were sending out almost as much vibe as Bruce, not quite as much I mean after all nothing puts out as much vibe as Bruce, but almost. I didn't want to say before but my slender irrisistable ankles were the reason that FMB had to break out his secret weapon (Sex Panther cologne).... but you didn't hear that from me.

It made with bits of real panther....so you know its good

I tried the link to the well parachuting site and it didn't work. I was very disappointed.
