Hi my name is timnic. I am the newly elected lake manager for a small community in Perkinston ms. We have a main lake that is 100 acres. Also there are 6 ponds that range from 1/2 to 10 acres.
I dont know a lot about lake management so will need some help.

Timnic, you have definitely found the right place to get answer for pond/lake management. Often the biggest challenge one faces when managing community owned bodies of water is the community is a bit ont he stingy side when it comes to funding proper management. Do you know if you have a budget, if so, how much?
With so many different size bodies of water, you have many options to produce some great fishing of many different kinds.

Like CJ said, budget and a clear consensus of the goals for each BOW is very important. It's hard to hit a moving target, and without a realistic budget along with a realistic time frame, things can be very difficult to accomplish.
With that said, you are in the right place.

We defiantly how some hurtles to jump in the financial realm. I am trying to identify the property owners that have an interest in fishing. Maybe we can get them to kick in a little extra to get things done
Our association dues are 110 per year.
