Hey everyone just thought I would show this Crappie off. 2.4lbs 17inches long. What was funny is this was the first time ever for me on this lake and I was fishing for Bass with a crankbait and caught this big girl!! Needless to say I made a mental note as to where I was for next time!!!

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!
I was on a Lake here in Arknsas called Lake Atkins. Near a town called Morrilton. It's about a 700 acre lake. Noted for some decent bass but I guess it has a few good Crappie too!!

Thanks Shorty I caught her off of a rocky point in about 10 feet of water on a Spro Little Johns Crank Bait. Craw Daddy color. It was a nice surpise for me!!

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
No didn't eat this one she went into the freezer though. I will be taking her to the taxidermy. It's not every day I catch a Crappie this size. I figure it will look good in the cabin once were done building it. Speaking of cabin we will be kicking off that project again here in the next couple of weeks. I will have to get my cabin project post going again!!

Hey AP thanks! By the way how is your pond doing? How is that dam of yours? What's going on over there by you? How are your trout?

RC I haven't done anything with the pond yet, been too busy with other things, the dam still seeps but the poor soil up here will never seal totally, haven't decided what to stock yet.
