Hello!

We are having a full fishery survey done the first week of May. This is my first experience with having a survey done and wanted to ask the community here for tips and advice to maximize the benefits of my experience. For you that have had surveys done previously are there things you wished you would have done to be more prepared for the survey or maybe questions you would have asked if you could do it over again? I know no matter how good the expert if you aren't well prepared with the proper planning/questions you will not receive the maximum benefits from your time with said experts.

Look forward to your comments and would like to thank you in advance for any tips y'all can provide!

Thanks!

If in the beginning of the survey, it seems that the pond is LMB heavy and has stunted LMB, taking them out during an electroshock survey is easily done. Like the saying "kill 2 birds with one stone".

Esshup- thanks for the info! I imagine that is probably going to be the case from my catch records data I have accumulated over the past two years.
