Hey, all!

A couple of months ago there was a discussion in the forum about a grass seed mat..or maybe it was just the mat..but I'm thinking it had the seed in it as well. I've searched the forum and internet and cannot find it anywhere. I recall looking up the supplier online that someone suggested and I think it was based in the south but there was a branch or something here in IN as well. I think the discussion I saw was about seeding a dam, but not positive. Need to bookmark these things!

Any ideas or recollection of what that might be? Unfortunately its not for pond purposes yet. Finishing up the house and needing to do something with the roughly one acre "mud farm" as I've come to call it immediately surrounding the house. Would like to find this stuff again so I can compare pricing against hydroseeding.

I think it was for a straw mat that went over seed that was put down to minimize erosion and keep the seed moist before the grass seed grew enough roots to stop erosion.

found it!
Helps if you search with the right terms smile Tensar / North American Green was the company mentioned in a previous thread.

You're right esshup, looks like just erosion control without seed..hmmm would like to find some larger seed mat and not pay the crazy box store prices for those small rolls they sell.

Hydroseeding probably the way to go, just thought I'd check.

Thanks esshup!
