I expect you will be approached by the GSFA shortly.
Welcome to PondBoss zoonose!
"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"
If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.

ha just kidding, nice looking fish. I'm new here myself and want to extend my welcome also.
How long have you had Sparkle and what are your plans for him?

Ha ha, thanks! Yep, clear water. He's alone in there, except for whatever's on the menu! Had him since summer, late August(?)... plans are to set up a 55 or 75 as a native tank, with him as the big fish.

Thats cool. How much has he grown since you got him? What kind of food are you feeding him? Worms, pellets, bread, cheeseburgers?
I'm sure the GSF Association will be highly interested in this!

He's gone from ~4" to a bit over 7"(I think, haven't measured). Eats cichlid pellets, goldfish, minnows, crawfish, crickets, spiders, worms... also some tropical fish & a small green anole.

Beautiful fish! I had a pumpkinseed that I caught in a minnow trap as a pet one time and then made the mistake of putting in a banded killifish in there with it, the killfish destroyed him and ate every grass shrimp and crawdad I had in the tank. Oops...good thing it was an experiment.
Fishing is my stress relief.
