My oldest son Gage graciously allowed his father to tag along with him today on a fishing excursion. And while Gage certainly managed to land the BFOD, he remained modest about the accomplishment, even going so far as allowing his father to fish on the same side of the pond as himself, and offering up many helpful suggestions regarding casting techniques, lure placement, and the best way to land a big HBG, should his father somehow manage to hook up with one. Truly his generosity knows no bounds, as he permitted his father to actually handle the BFOD, long enough to get a weight and measurement. I am very grateful that he allowed me this opportunity to study his methods, and can only hope that what I learned today will help me to become a better angler, although certainly I will not achieve the level of proficiency demonstrated by Gage. That is my burden to bear. 10.5" and 20 ozs. All hail Gage.

Man them fish are dark beauties..

These fishing outings are the stuff of fond memories for the rest of Gage's lifetime. I say congratulations to both Gage and Sprkplug.

He's a good kid...actually, both of mine are good kids. The agreement that I had with Gage yesterday, was whoever lost had to sing the praises of the other, here on the forum.
