Hello, my name is Ryan. I have a great interest when I get a new house to build a pond to have trout in. I know a little bit about ponds such as keeping some shade to have the water colder and certain ways to keep the ecosystem maintained, but I know nothing about where to select the pond or how I know if the water will stay or if I dig a hole for nothing. I do not want a huge pond just a nice little pond big enough to swim in or fish or even take a small boat on. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I am prepared for my future plan? Thank you very much.
-Ryan

Welcome Ryan, The book "Perfect Pond Want One" is an excellent read. In the meantime read as much as you can on here, especially in the archives section. There are tons of very knowledgable and helpful people on here so don't be afraid to ask away. Rob

Ask alot before you build make sure you get an experienced pond builder not a dirt mover..
I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease.. BG. CSBG. LMB. HSB. RES.
