Pond Boss Family, last year I posted looking for help towards a great cause. Folks were so generous and we raised over $1700 for our team!

Now it's time for the 2012 Recycled Fish's 24-Hour Fish-A-Thon.



This year, I am participating on a team that will be fishing for 24 hours straight in September, 7pm September 7th to 7pm on the 8th. This is put on by Recycled Fish and the event is the 24 Hour Fish-A-Thon.

This is one of Recycled Fish's biggest fundraisers every year, where teams raise money for a cause(s) to help bring awareness to the issues facing our aquatic resources and our fisheries.

Our focus this year is to raise the awareness of invasive species and the threat they pose to our waterways. We will be fishing Gavin's Point Dam near Yankton, SD.

Thanks David! That was one heckuva fight with that carp. Hooked him about 3am. My buddy was dozing in his chair and I yelled that I need a net. He woke up completely disoriented and nearly ran right into the river. Eventually did get the net and helped me land the fish.
