Hi all. I am fixing my pond drain. I burried the old one (which leaked) that flowed straight out through the bank. I am digging a new one with a stand pipe. Just wanted to know how deep I should burry it and how far from the bank should the stand be. Thanks in advance for any help!

I don't know if there is any set distance. I've seen ponds where you have to use a boat to reach the standpipe to clean trash off of the trash rack, and others where you can clean the trash rack from the shore.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it mattered or not!

I would recommend to have it coming up roughly half way up your dam. It will give the pipe plenty of strength.
