Just returned home to find the visibility in my pond down to 12". Was about 20" when I left about 10 days ago. Parts of the pond are a bright blue/green color and has a smell to it. Info on pond. 1 &1/2 acre max depth 10' , aerated, 2 feeders, LMB, CNBG, HSB, TFS, GC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If it would help I can add well water to the pond. Can also stop feeding if that would help. Thanks, Eric

Can you post a pic? How long has the aeration been going. If the O2 stays high enough I would watch for a while. If it stays 12 + you should be ok. Obviously no more fertilizer for a while. If it gets worse and you judge it to be about to cause serious problems there is a way to reduce the plankton by a limited CUSO4 spray. That is a last option IMO.

Quote " tilapia in pond that wintered over" You may have a carrying capacity problem. That can cause problems like the one you noted. If so you need to take some fish out. See this - http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=92440#Post92440

Couldn't get any decent pics. The visibility this morning was at 20" and no smell at all. I'm guessing the visibility varies greatly from morning to late afternoon. Fish are very active and feeding good, Thanks for the help.

Keep an eye on things and read the link about carrying capacity.
