I have a new pond that I stocked with 1,500 bluegill last fall. They were only half an inch long. All year I have been walking around the pond trying to see the fish in the shallows. I haven't seen one. I was starting to worry if the fish had survived. Today I finely decided to take a pole and see if I could catch one. On my first cast I caught this little guy. I am amazed how much he has grown since last September.

If you feed them, you will be even more amazed at their growth.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I have been feeding them Purina Game Fish Chow twice a day for the shortest time available with my feeder. Any suggestions on how much I should be feeding them? Also this week I will be getting the fingerling largemouth bass and channel catfish to stock.
