I have been looking at automatic fish feeders and the price scares me a bit. I want to make sure that I get one that I will be forever happy with, after spending $500- $800 for one. I am just barely getting this purchase past the finance department (My Wife). Should I wait to purchase one at the Pond Boss Gathering in October at Table Rock Lake (looking forward to it!), and hopefully get a good deal? And also be able to touch it and see it work. Or buy now, through the mail, taking a risk, and hopefully enjoy it all summer. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not going to get a deal there unless you take it back with you then yes it might save some freight cost. Typically when we ship Texas Hunter to Michigan it is $90 for smaller 125.

The feeders sold at auction did not go cheap at any of the prior PB conferences. Sold at about purchase price.

Thanks for the info. Might there be any retail outlets in Mich. that sell the Texas Hunter brand?

Anybody remember the square metal Moultrie feeders that were on sale like 2 years ago for $100-$200 if you spent $200 on their site?? Somebody had posted a link on here somewhere, and several others, myself included, bought one. Mine has never given me any trouble, but I don't remember what its called, and don't think they still make them. Every once in awhile they run deals like that, so ya might want to keep an eye on their site.
