What's wrt again? \:o

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

"With respect to" I believe.

If something is supposed to be wrong, the eye doesn't look normal to me.

The fish was found floating -- dead. Thus the eye. In perfect condition. No hook marks, no parasites, no sores or marks ,gills ok , mouth /throat ok, fat , good color , good size , as good of condition as any BG I have seen. What happened ?

He looks like he saw too much.

Eric, I think the eye looks large for the body size. If you didn't have the ruler there, I'd think it was a smaller, slightly stunted BG. Could be old for his large size, and just have died from old age?

I assume a natural mort. I don't think it was old as its body condition was more like a 3 yr old BG. I should have kept some scales or extracted the otolith.

If I died in the water I probably wouldn't look any better than him, but . . .

He looks abnormal to me. Even at that size, he probably would have been one I'd have pulled for dinner.

A while back you posted this picture of a fish almost the same length. What a difference. He definitely would have lived to swim another day had I caught him.

I think the eye just has some unusual pigment to it and is a dead eye that has whitened up. And the fish seems low in relative weight. Kind of thin as far as cross section.
