I don't know about channel cats but the consensus is to start feeding at 50 F.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Whatever it is Monday is when I'm starting, and aerating smile

I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease..

Sounds like a good plan! Hubby and I started feeding about a week ago, but we couldn't remember what the best temperature should be. The only fish who have responded this week were.... surprise..... the minnows. I think we have the spring jitters waiting on the channel catfish as we just stocked them last fall.

They are a warm water fish so perhaps it will take them longer to get ramped up? I'm sure others here will know. I've never had catfish.

That's when I'm starting my diet, or maybe Tuesday; definitely no later than Wednesday night.
