Does anybody know where I can find a ladder for my pier? My wife and I just had a pond built about 1 acre and my father and I are building a pier for it. We are also going to put a diving board at the end as well. If anybody has some info on that it would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you

Just Google it. You'll get more webpages than you will want to sort thru.

Search for ladders that are used in pools. Dad picked up one from a city pool that was getting demolished. It's been in place for 30 or so years. It's there to the right of the pier. Stainless steel, the uprights are Stainless tubes about 3" dia and the steps are Stainless as well. It stays right there all year long, snow, ice, etc.

I bought a folding one something like the one shown at the link below, and have no regrets. Folding allows it to stay free of slime.

That folding ladder that RAH has is a great idea, here's a smaller version of it.

I bought one at Menards a few years back, they had it in three or five step as I recall. The base is mounted permanently to the dock and it swings down into the water, or up out of the water when the water might freeze, or when you want to clean algae, etc. off of the steps.

You may want to consider pool ladders that could be adapted to a pier. I would want something that had some really robust hand rails and fairly long making it easy to climb out and not have to pull yourself out to get footing.

Swimming Pool & Dock Ladders

My brother in Colorado customized a pool ladder for his hot tub that was easily removeable so he could put his hot tub cover on. So you could also consider the removeable aspect.

That hot tub and the scenery sure looks inviting Zep!

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Cecil I try to visit him often. Nothing like sitting it that tub as the steam rises off the river in the morning. One time he said he was sitting in the tub at sundown and a black bear came walking up between him and the cabin. As he sat in the bubbling hot water wondering if he was actually just being cooked for the bear's dinner! (lol). Luckily the bear was more interested in a hummingbird feeder over near his garage.

Check out the steam Cecil.

Ten four. I had one of those in San Antonio pool for 22 years. As far as I know, it's still there.
