I don't think it is a bluegill; it seems too narrow whereas a bluegill would have more of a pan shape.
I wondered if it might be a LMB, but I don't think so either.
My guess would be a minnow of some type.
Let's see what the consensus is...

Bruce says a pearl dace . Probably based on the scales and head of the large pic. a dace/shiner/minnow. See http://www.cnr.vt.edu/efish/families/cyprinidae.html

My bad on not including a ruler. He was I would say about 1.5". I am now thinking he is a fathead minnow, hopefully yoy. Unlikely a LMB as there are non in that pond (as far as I know. New pond and I did not put any in). Defiitely too "long" now that I see the BG young. Only other possibility based on what is in there would be YP or RES (which I assume will be just like BG). I am ok with as many yoy minnows as I may have. The adults went into the pond first week of June. So hopefully conditions are good and I am able to have some FHM recruitment. I have not seen any yoy BG for sure but I will keep tossing the minnow trap in. Thanks.

Closest I have seen to the unidentified fry of minnow (UFOM) is little GSH, but the mouth isn't really pointy enough.

At the very minimum, george g. has scored himself a beverage of choice, courtesy AATW, at the upcoming meeting.

That picture is over four quadrillion pixels. It has more pixels than there are drops of water in the Atlantic. That picture has more pixels than there are grains of sand on every beach in this world, plus ever beach on every other world in the universe.

I am pretty sure that Asleep's minnow is a fathead. Compare his fish to the adult fatheads below. Note his fish is immature and that the 2 photos were taken at slightly different angles which will make fish to apprear slightly different.

After posting above I went to Wisc. Fish (you guys should use that site it is remarkable) and did some looking. The info is top quality - pics and text. Before I got confused by so many minnows/dace/shiners I checked the FH. Here they are including a yoy and the comment that YOY FH are more slender and less full bodied than adults. Sunil - I won't be able to make it to the conference. Please buy George a beverage of choice (BOC) for me. I have a brother in Pittsburgh and when I come visit I will get with you to settle up.
Bruce - sorry about the overpixelization. My camera has a "macro" feature that allows close ups. Maybe I should have experimented with the shot before posting. Is there a way to know how the pic will appear when you pick "image" from the choices on Photo Bucket?
Sometimes all the posts fit on my monitor without horizontal scrolling. Other times h. scrolling is required. My big pics required a lot of H. scolling. Any advice on managing this phenomena?

AATW: I you don't preview the post before adding the reply, try that. Some methods for resizing photos are discussed in Pixel Police? and Posting Photos...
