Is cover necessary for trophy BG? If so, can I tie up mesquite branches to make a pallet, ball, or other structure?

Also, what depth should I place the structure? Should I remove the thorns in case the structure gets stuck in the mud? Thanks in advance

I don't remember anybody using mesquite. For amount, placement and other cover ideas, look here , and don't forget to open and read any links that are embedded in the thread.

Connor, in our area consider cedar and stay away from green or freshly cut oak.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
