Hello all. I have a eco 7 pump running three 9 " diffusers. I have 2 stations one set in 15 feet of water and one suspended on cables 5 feet below my dock. currentl and in the summer months i run the station in the deep water from dusk until dawn and I am wanting to run the shallow station 24/7. The reason for this is to keep the water open under the dock during the winter months to prevent fish kill. from the information I gathered on here before i built the system is to aerate at a 1/3 of the depth of your pond when it is mostly iced over. my question is when should i make the switch to the shallow staion and start running 24/7. thanks in advance.

IMO in your Ohio region you can switch to shallow water operation anytime after the water get to 50F. I would not wait longer than December 01. We should see complete ice cover somewhere around Dec 10 +/- 7days. Running 3 diffusers 9" in dia with that compressor is overloading the ability of that compressor unless all you want from it is weak to mild turnover ability.
