First post for me, but I have been reading alot! This board is amazing! \:\) Thanks to everyone for their insight and input.
I live on a 16 acre lake that is 45+ years old,"Y" shaped,22 ft. at its deepest point, very clear in the summer, good cover along the banks. The lake has LMB, BG, Crappie, Catfish, Warmouth Bream and large Carp in it. Limiting factors are the lake is a impoundment for the city water supply and public fishing from the banks.
The LMB I caught all summer ranged from 8" to almost 2 lbs, the most being in the .75 to 1.00 lbs fish. How can I help the LMB bulk up?

with this info I would say the main problem if that is all you catch is too many bass for that size class. A harvest program is in order. Feel free to read some of the articles at www.lakework.com

Greg, the bank fishers do not catch and release, in fact I think I am the only one doing this! \:\)
Do you know/recomend someone in SC that provides the services that you do?
Thanks for the reply.

For this size lake I doubt unless there are lots of bank fisherman they are taking too many. However your right hard to tell but if all you catch are small bass this indicates too many of that size and/or not enough food??

Not sure where York is located but we do work in SC. I have a client in Orangeburg if that helps. If intersted email or call, thanks
