For those who didn't make PB-IV, you may have missed a neat gadget that Greg Grimes is now handling -------------- the "LID CAM". (Did I mention that I love gadgets?) It actually took me awhile to learn the controls (both buttons ), but it now shoots pretty decent videos under proper lighting conditions, and assuming that I resist the urge to swivel my head from side to side (which, btw, produces migraine-inducing videos). Sample clips below...... Note: the LidCam's 720HD resolution was heavily compressed by Photobucket for faster on-line viewing. The raw mpegs look and play much better. These guys never knew I was filming - which raises an ethical question; or should I say "an idea"?

Mike got me whacking a turkey this Spring with the one that I have. He was supposed to send it to Greg. I just left a message for him reminding him.............. Hopefully he'll send it before he leaves for Colorado on Friday.

Very cool! Where do we find more info? One of these would be perfect for me while on my Boundary Waters canoe trips.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

KD, thanks for sharing we have been so busy not even lodaed any footage on our website to try and sell these. I have shot my bow with them and got some good footage after playing withe zoom. They shoudl pretty dang sweet for bowhunting. I hoped to see some footage of you landing a big fish from the kayak while looking down the rod. Any PB member can get them for $125. Call the office to get the discount. Im selling them for $140 and suggested retail is $150 but sales are slow since no advertising on my part. http://lakework.com/cart/index.php?p=product&id=166&parent=10

I forgot about sending that video to you Gregg. I did "lay down some footage" on Scott's bird. I always hear the Drury boys say that and it sounds cool I also have another bird filmed this spring. Not very exciting though. He never really showed himself and my buddy had to take him while he was trying to hide in the brush. I don't know what that stupid turkey was so scared of I am leaving for Colorado Springs Friday. I will likely be taking the laptop with me. If I can't get it to you be Friday evening, I will send it while I am out there.

Mike, want the lid cam for Sid's practice? In your "off time" take a trip up to around 8-9000 feet and do some trail hiking. That'll give you a small idea of what it's like chasing Elk or Mulies. I'd like to see Sid wear it when you two go hiking. Drink plenty of water. It's easy to get dehydrated up there. I was going thru 3 liters in about 9 hours and was still thirsty when I got back to camp.

I have no problem traveling around at 9000 feet. Should I keep it in first and second gear?
