My little town of Waddington has a population of 900 people, and is one of 20 finalists in a national competition for the "Ultimate Fishing Town, USA". We're in a seesaw battle for first place. The whole town has come together, which is amazing to be a part of. Here's the link:

http://wfnfishingtown.com/home.php

I'm here hoping you guys and gals will help us win by casting votes daily. There are 11 days left, so at the risk of annoying people (which I really hope it won't) I'll bump this daily as a reminder.

After you vote for WADDINGTON the first time, you'll receive a verification email from uft@wsn.tv.to You only need to verify the first time, and you're allowed to vote 4 times a day. Your address is not put on any lists.

We'd really appreciate your help!!

Thanks,

Tom

Done! Of course I first checked to assure myself that Muleshoe Texas wasn't on the list.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I'm headed to Hammond this week to fish Black Lake for a few days. Close enough, I voted for Waddington.

We were originally thinking bass fishing. We knew some others that have been going to Black Lake for years for bass and highly recommended it. So we booked the trip only to find out that part of NY is closed for bass fishing this time of year - even catch & release. So I guess we'll be targeting pike and walleye. Maybe crappie but we haven't fished for them before.

Not sure how you can tell/prove if we were targeting bass though... whistle

We're down by 1300 tonight :-( Still plugging away. My wife and I are voting four times a day for about 120 people now. I got 18 addresses today in the Coast Guard office where I used to be stationed.

I want to thank you guys for the help...it was much appreciated. Unfortunately, we came up short. We were ahead by 11,000 votes with 12 hours to go, and somehow Roscoe came up with a little over 30,000 votes in that time! We ended up losing by 2100. The votes are being verified and official results will be announced on June 6.

Tom It's hard to believe they came up with that many votes in such a short time, you guys pulled way ahead and it looked like you would run away with it.

Well better luck next year.

They musta followed the southern WV voting method whereby anyone who has ever voted is allowed to vote again, living or not!
