built pretty much same system as Rc (thanks to him I saved a ton of money)with the eco-7 attached to heater hose and 200 ft of weighted tubing to 3 diffusers which will sit in 8ft of water....set to a timer....pond is 1 acre in size ...what recommendations as to beginning aeration....it is in a remote location so I wont be there all year and probably only a long weekend for start up? Thanks for your input!

Hey Dracor,

Gald to here the system worked for you bud. As far as start up goes it wasn't easy for me either as i don't live near my pond also. So if your going to be there for a long weekend like 3 days. I would set it on 30 minutes first day. 1 hour the next and 2 hours the 3rd day. After the 3rd day like me is where you kind of have to wing it because your not going to be there so this is what I did. I set my timer for 2 hours the first week, 4 hours the second week, and 8 the next. Course I was able to go to my land each weekend to change my time. If you can do that I would do just what I suggested it worked pretty well for me. Then of course after the 8 hour week you can go to 12 and leave it there for a while if you have to. If you can't get there each weekend I would suggest you make your last setting from 2 hours to 4 if you have a setting for 4 or 6 and run it there for a while till you can get back to your pond. I ran mine last year on 6 hours and things worked fine my fish were happy and all was good. I only went to 8 hours a day and then 12 this year when I did my start up again in the spring. Good luck dude and glad it's working for ya!!

The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!
