Hello all, tomorrow my pond experiment continues...I am having my fish delivered from Jones...I already have largemouth, perch, hybrid BG, walleye and some catfish. I am having delivered some black crappie, Redear, 10 trout (as part of the big experiment) and two albino catfish. The big question is I am having 20 lbs of fatheads and 10 lbs of shiners...I have placed 3 different pallets in the pond-is that enough for them to reproduce??? Thanks,
Dave

To be honest, withe the fish you have in your pond... Your FHM will never get a chance to reproduce. They'll all be eaten long before they get a chance to make babies. If any survive long enough to even think about making babies, 3 pallets should be fine, just keep those pallets in water less than 18", preferably in 6" of water or so...

understand-I still thought I had to give it a chance-that is why I also put in the crappie-everything that I heard was of the reproducing skills of the crappie and I thought since I was predator heavy they might help solve that problem....

Problem is that your crappie are predators too and they produce many many more little predators.
