Hello everyone. I have something interesting going on during my feeding and I was wondering if someone had some insight. Quick recap of my pond:
Just dug out the middle to creat one pond instead of two-stocked with walleye, perch, Hybrid Bluegill and Largemouth and a few catfish. Lots of forage fish (at least I am hoping they are still there)

I am starting to get great activity when I feed at about 7 p.m. silver cup food.
Here is what happens: very calm, I throw out the pellets and instantly get fish eating-but on the other side of the pond-No food being thrown or floating over there-I instantly get fish jumping out of the water-they look like they are about 4-6 inches (same size as my largemouth that I just put in (but they are pellet trained) they jump until the other fish finish feeding and then they stop also?? any idea's on what fish are doing this and why?

I've noticed the same thing every now and then with trout I stocked in February. I'll feed the fish and about 15-20 yards outside of where they're feeding a trout or two will jump way out of the water. The ones eating do a good job of splashing and churning the surface but these seem to jump to be jumping as it's in an arch more than the leap and spash usually seen when going after a bug.
