I just bought a new pedal boat 2 weekends ago and the fish are scared. Has anyone had a problem with the fish being scared with any boat in your pond?

My daughter rented a pedal boat years ago and it sounded like a washing machine on steroids, I hope the newer ones are quieter.

My new one is not that loud. The only thing is that the rudder makes a loud creaking noise. Will fish get use to my pedal boat?

One way to get them used to it would be to only feed them from the boat. After a while they'll be conditioned. Noise = food.

When I pull up to my ponds with a 4 wheeler the BG and CC come to feed. They're conditioned. If I want to catch a catfish, I have to go away from the feeding area and use a lot of patience. The BG still bite.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley Rancher and Farmer Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP Grandpa

Bluegill,
I think they will get accustomed to you riding around in it - mine seem to have. It will be interesting to see how it all goes when I get it back out and running here in the next couple days (I need to fix the rudder, broke it last fall putting away).
Seems like the fish are easier to condition than my pooch was!
I subscribe!
