With opening day this week, I thought I'd see if there were any other fans here. I'm a Cardinal fan and will be there to watch them kick off the 2011 season!
Go Cards!!!!!!

I'm a baseball junkie. Love my Red Sox and am looking forward to seeing how their new acquisitions pan out this season. Should be fun.
Bossone, your Cards could be in for an interesting season and upcoming offseason. Their whole landscape could change.

Braves fan since 1982 when we got cable. I am ready for the season. I had Dwight over and he put an interface in so I can watch the mlb.com broadcasts on my big screen TV.
Good morning Dave, I've checked the ships systems, and everything appears to be running normally.

My wife grew up a Braves fan, had a bunch of shirts and jerseys, memorabilia. But my fandom to the Sawx got to her and now the Braves are just her "National League team".

That and I haven't been happy how they have handled a few things, including Pujols. Even though I think they mucked it up, there is no one worth 30 million for 10 years. Maybe for 6-7 and then lower it as he ages. Plus he has a bad elbow which could cause him issues. I think they will wait and see what he brings in the open market and top that offer. If nto then he will go elsewhere.

It's much more fulfilling to a fan base when a player stays on one team his entire career. Jon Lester is the player I have a massive man crush on myself.

Of course you probably know that the Braves also once called Boston home.

Well he says he wants to retire as a cardinal like Stan Musial, yet he wants a boat load of money. So time will tell.

I think that is why there is usually an Atlanta/Boston three game series most years during inter-league play. The Twins are the only team I keep track of in the junior circut.

Another longtime Braves fan - since they came to Atlanta 40+ years ago. "We" are going to be real good this year. Great pitching, and McClouth will be back to old self. Not a weak spot in the lineup offensively, and good bench. Only problem I see is who's going to come in in relief in the seventh when they have 2 outs, a runner on second, right handed batter up, and the wind is blowing left to right at 15mph........
Just do it...

Sadly, John is more interested in playing golf. He is going to play in an upcoming Nationwide golf tournament. Sure wish we had in back on the mound...

I loved playing baseball and thought I'd miss it more. Now it's just an occasional tossing of a ball. Maybe one day a future son will play it and spark the excitement again. I am a Twins fan and have been since '88.
