I live on a 4 acre lake.(have for 10 years) For the 1st time, after the ice has come off I have 4, 30 pound catfish floating dead(been dead a long time)think they died of old age or some thing else up? The ice fishing was bad this year as well.

The largest fish of almost any species require the highest amount of DO. This means they are usually the first to go when DO levels get low during an ice covered winter. 30 pound catfish are giants for CC and heck they're even pretty darn big for blue cats in a pond... They probably suffered from winter kill. But 30 pound CC may have been near the end of their lifespan anyways.
