I started writing a blog a few months ago and recently wrote a story about my first fishing trip with by father when I was 5 years old. I thought that perhaps some Pond Boss readers may enjoy it. Here is a link to the story. http://familyrancher.weebly.com/family-rancher-blog.html

I loved it. Thanks for sharing.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I wanted to share that my father, who I wrote about here, passed away on February 6th at age 89. I am glad that he got to read this story prior to his passing. I was fortunate to have made it from Texas home to Pennsylvania in time to visit with him one last time. While there our family looked through old photos and I found a couple that I had not seen before including him on a fishing trip in Canada in 1957. I have added those photos to my story. http://familyrancher.weebly.com/1/post/2011/02/my-first-fishing-trip.html

Sorry for your loss Captain, but happy to hear he was able to enjoy his last moments with a son he's obviously very proud of.

My condolences. He left some footprints behind.
