I was just formally inducted into the "Top Posters" club. What put me over the top? Posting a photo of a clown. Kinda fitting don't ya think? {In my best Academy Awards acceptance speech voice} I'd like to thank my Mom & Dad for putting me here on this third rock from the sun, my wife JWHAP for putting up with me, Bob Lusk and Mike Otto for creating this site, all the moderators for moderating in moderation, and of course Al Gore for inventing the internet. Yep over 6,660 posts, with 40.653 good posts, and that ain't bad. I decided to preserve this for posterity because at the rate other folks are posting I'm not going to last in the "Top Posters" count for long. And yes this is "Top Posters" and not Top Posers (although in all likelyhood I would qualify for either club). PS: I wasn't sure whether to put this post here or in the Theater of the Absurd. In all seriousness though, this is a great site with great people. I'm having a lot of fun here, I've made many great friends, and have had some wonderful experiences as a direct result of being a member of the Pond Boss family. I sincerely thank you all for putting up with me.

Congratulations, I have slowed down with my posting... I'll let you stay up on the podium! I don't want Dwight to break out an Excel sheet on me again.

I'm not really sure congratulations are in order but thanks. Deep down I just think this means that I need more hobbies.

Congrats Jeff. I joined in March 2006 and I have 1270 post. I calculated that since I'm almost 65, I will have to live until I'm 213 years old to catch you. So at least your safe from me.
In Dog Beers, I've had one.

This must only get updated daily or something like that....

OK, JHAP, you're off the list!
I think you need to have about (3) more posts than the lowest count.

OK guys. For the record it’s not how many but the quality of the posts. That puts Bill Cody way up there. Further Dave D. and CB1 are on their second and or third "names" as their first became unusable. If you count all as one then they probably have the most posts.

Why do we even have the number of posts each member has made on here?

We had half as many registered members when JHAP and I joined the forum. (I've had far less impact than Jeff.)
He is one of several outstanding members who has brought a lot of very serious insight, humor, and goodwill to all of Pond Boss. He and his wonderful spouse have been incredible ambassadors on the forum and at the PB conventions.
I believe it would be in the best interest of all if we could now honor the top ten posters.
The top posters didn't get there without a lot of good will and effort. As long-term members know, this is a very tough group that requires honesty, knowledge, friendship, and tenacity.
JHAP is just one of many who deserves recognition. Those with lots of posts really deserve a lot of recognition because of the great moderators who make this such as a wonderful place. The forum wouldn't have anywhere near the world-wide importance without these top posters and our moderators.
Thanks for your friendship and knowledge,
Ken

Jeff's head after reading Ken's post Heck, there is enough room in the left margin to post a top-25 list if wanted. Personally, it doesn't matter to me. I like Erics interpertation, quality over quantity. I won't be on it either way, but it is a nice recognition of longevity and participation! Jeff's posts have accounted (pun intended) for many replacement keyboards, and his boat piloting skills wasted one bridge support! Thanks!

Agreed, ewest. I'm just messin' w/ JHAP. You made my day Sunil and it was a long one. I thought your posts to "increase your count" were pretty funny!
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
