Hey everybody,
Just wondering if anybody out there knows of a pond management company that has an opening. I have a degree in Fisheries Science from Virginia Tech and have a strong interest in pond management. I live in Virginia, but would be willing to move for a good job. I know this forum isn't for finding employment, but I figured this would be my best bet to find somebody who may know of something. Feel free to email me if you'd like more information. Thanks

Brad, the best interviewing you could do would be to jump into the forum posting and help wherever you can with questions.
Best of luck and glad you found us!

Thanks for the tips, I'll check out the forum and share any information that I have. I have checked the AFS job board many times in the past, occasionally I see something I'm interested in on there, but it seems for the most part, a masters degree is required for the position or the job is just too far away (I'd prefer to stay in the south). But, I plan on continuing to check it in the future. It seems fisheries jobs are few and far between...especially nowadays.

Virginia Lake Management is a big pond/lake management company out of Virginia... Angler Environmental is another one... No clue if they are hiring... My best advice is look out west. Almost everyone I graduated with who stayed in the fisheries field had to go to the Midwest or West Coast to find work. Some built resumes and are now back east...

Brad,
Another good place to check is the Texas A&M wildlife, fisheries jobsite. It mostly contains jobs in the south

What about the Southern Division of the AFS? You could contact them or SRAC http://www.msstate.edu/dept/srac/
