Actually DD1, spending 6 weeks in Seattle being a Nanny. My 24 year old granddaughter is expecting a new baby 8/2. However, she started false labor a week ago and I came to help her and the 2 Kids. Yep, I'm a Great Grandfather of 1.5 and 3.5 year olds and have another one on the way. No action toward having the baby so I'm a Nanny until sometime around the middle of August.
Charlene says that it has been raining there in Texas almost non stop.
Great seeing the GrandKids but.................

How do we know you're really DD2? Not one single "y'all" in that post ...

As long as the name isn't flaky, anything works.
Just remember the Johnny Cash song "A Boy Named Sue".

Hi DD2, I remember you before you were DD1. Have fun up there. Do they have any rednecks or hillbillies?
Just do it...

Randy, when you howdy these folks, they look at you kinda funny and talk faster than I can listen. They all seem friendly though. I'm actually in Bremerton which is about half Navy so I hear lots of different accents.
Haven't had a good rain since I got here but lots of mist and very little sun. Supposed to have a heat wave starting today with temps this week in the mid to upper 80's. No A/C.

Hopefully, the town has no relationship to the Bremer family.

Hopefully, the town has no relationship to the Bremer family. That particular branch of the Bremer family emigrated from Germany to Southeast Asia in the mid 1800s and a then later in the 1800s to North America. The exact date they arrived in the Northwest is unknown as all of the family members were notorious beer drinkers and the records they kept were unintelligible. Anyway, the Bremer family arrived in the Northwest and started brewing beer in a small shed they built from the remains of the barge they used to cross the Pacific Ocean. The Bremer family beer was very popular with the natives and the newly arriving immigrants as well. Ton Beer (they named it Ton because it would “Tune you up”. (As with the record keeping they couldn’t spell either). Eventually the Bremer family became wealthy running their brewery. One day they were all working at the brewery when disaster struck. A boiler explosion killed off the whole family. The village where they lived inherited their wealth by default and in honor of the Bremer family, named the village Bremerton. The recipe for Ton Beer was lost forever.
