Fished only a couple hours because of windy conditions, but managed 10 different species, 5 firsts for myself, 3 personal bests, and a master angler.

That SMB looks like he's trying to wolf down your thumb...he's small, but you gotta respect his ambition!
BTW - that BC is a LAKE RECORD on Condello's Pecos River - and Josh perfected the presentation for reliably targeting my RES I've been trying [unsuccessfully] to catch for the last year. I actually refined the Josh presentation one step further so I can fish the crawler IN the pondweed [no weight, strike indicator - like nymphing] without any hangups. Nice fish Josh - and thanks for the fishing tips. My bluegill also send their thanks for the long awaited dancing partners!

TJ, thanks again for the opportunity. I'm so happy for you. We found your RES and your YP had a successful spawn! Great day, even if it was windy.

4/5 pics are from a stretch of the Pecos River II in Lincoln NE. Bruce will have to supply additional photos...it's a dandy fishery about to become far....dandier/more dandy/the dandiest?

Were you able to isolate the RES with this method, at least to some degree?

Haven't fished since Saturday...but unweighted crawler rig is the ticket in and around the pondweed. #10 baitholder hook with barb crimped plus stop knot used as a strike indicator allows me to fish this in the pondweed without any snags. I am using my 1 wt. flyrod blank used for panfishing to generate the energy I need to cast an appreciable distance.
